Gov: Rockland to Get Drive-thru Coronavirus Testing Facility; Area Lawmaker Wants Emergency Assistance Fund for Small Businesses

March 18, 2020 by helpdesk1

The governor announced yesterday that Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties are getting drive-thru coronavirus testing facilities like the one that opened in New Rochelle recently. Rockland’s is reportedly at Medrite Urgent Care in Spring Valley, but you have to register in advance first. Andrew Cuomo also addressed rumors the city or other areas of the state would be quarantined…

The capitol in Albany is shut down and being disinfected after two assembly members tested positive for coronavirus, but one area assemblyman still hopes to get an on-time budget. Stony Point and Orange County’s Colin Schmitt says life in Albany isn’t much different than the rest of the world these days…

Schmitt is also looking to set up an $890 million Emergency Assistance Fund for small businesses that have been impacted by coronavirus.
