Former Central Nyack Fire Chief, NYS Trooper, to be Buried in Rockland Cemetery After Succumbing to Coronavirus

April 23, 2020 by helpdesk1

Piermont’s Charlie Bullock, who had lost his wife and daughter to coronavirus earlier this month, and passed away on Monday, also following complications from coronavirus, will be buried at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill. Bullock was a former member and chief of the Central Nyack volunteer Fire Department, a New York State trooper, a Clarkstown police officer, and a staple and just about every “Doo Wop Dream Machine” monthly pizza party. Rockland Sheriff Lou Falco knew him well…

As a student-athlete, he co-captained Tappan Zee High School’s 1958 Rockland County Championship basketball team and he was inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Rockland’s former fire and emergency services director Gordon Wren also had known Bullock for over four decades, and said he was a trailblazer in the Rockland firefighting community…

Earlier this month he lost his daughter, who was a social worker, and his wife, Lois, who retired from the Nyack school district back in 1988 after 23 years as a teaching assistant. Charlie was 80 years old.
