Fifth Annual SUEZ Lake DeForest Day to Benefit Area Environmental Groups

June 28, 2019 by helpdesk1

Tomorrow is the Fifth Annual SUEZ Lake DeForest Day. Suez New York’s Director of External Affairs, Bill Madden, says it started out as a chance to kayak on the reservoir, and it’s grown to include many other events and it’s become a fund-raising activity…

Hackensack Riverkeeper helps clean up pollution in and around area waterways and promotes responsible, sustainable development. New this year, there’ll be a 1½ mile Family Walk across the Freedom Causeway to benefit Keep Rockland Beautiful, which locally coordinates the annual Great American Cleanup. The causeway will be closed for two hours starting around 9:30 between Congers and New City to give walkers the chance to do the walk. For more information visit LakeDeForestDay.com.
