Federal Appeals Ruling Goes Against Pomona, Backs Orthodox Jewish College

A federal court ruling decided Pomona village officials adopted discriminatory zoning to keep an Orthodox Jewish college for rabbinical students and their families out. LoHud.com says Friday’s federal appeals court ruling lets Congregation Rabbinical College of Tartikov file site plans and seek variances to build the college on 130 acres near Routes 202 and 306. Tartikov also wants the village to pay over five million dollars in legal fees.
