A Rockland County Court judge could decide today whether a felony indictment against two rabbis linked to the Evergreen Court Adult Home fire in Spring Valley last year that killed a volunteer firefighter and one resident can go forward. The Journal News says attorneys for Rabbi Nathaniel Sommer and his son Aaron want the charges dismissed. Prosecutors say the grand jury presentation is fine and the pair should face trial. Both sides are expected to be in court today before the judge. Spring Valley firefighter Jared Lloyd was killed in the blaze in March last year when the building collapsed.
