Environmental Groups Urges NYS to put “Restore Mother Nature Bond Act” Before Voters in November

April 22, 2020 by helpdesk1

Today is the fiftieth anniversary of Earth Day, and to mark the occasion, environmentalists are urging the state of New York to continue its commitment to healing the planet. The COVID-19 pandemic will have a huge impact on the New York state budget. But environmentalists like Bobbi Wilding of “Clean and Healthy New York” stress that it will be vitally important to maintain state support for programs that protect our water, air and wilderness areas…

A joint letter being released by two dozen environmental groups also urges the state to bring the Restore Mother Nature Bond Act to voters in November. To celebrate Earth Day, the 7th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival, usually held at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern, will be streamed online for free tonight. The live stream of 14 short films starts at 6pm tonight at SuffernFilmFest.com.
