Wildfires burning in Halifax, Nova Scotia, are behind the smoky air conditions down here in the States. According to the National Weather Service, plumes of smoke from the fires drifted over the tri-state area Tuesday, pushed by the jet stream 30,000 feet high into the atmosphere.
