Add Rockland to the list of communities with cases of coronavirus. All East Ramapo schools and the administration building are closed today and tomorrow so they can be sanitized, after five students were quarantined due to exposure, though they are not showing symptoms. Two caterers from Ramapo tested positive after working events in Monsey, one on February 28th at a synagogue at 150 Remsen Avenue, and the other March 2nd at the Atrium Ballroom. A Tappan Zee High school staffer self-quarantined late last week due to Westchester connections to the virus. The death toll from the virus here in the U.S. has reached 21, and in New York 105 residents have tested positive, 82 in Westchester. U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and Congressman Paul Gosar announced they are self-quarantining after coming into contact with a New Jersey man confirmed to have been infected with coronavirus during the Conservative Political Action Conference a week and a half ago.
