An East Ramapo school board trustee, the husband of the town of Ramapo’s deputy supervisor, has been charged with grand larceny and criminal impersonation. The Rockland D-A’s office told Lohud.com that former town employee, 65 year-old Bernard Charles, tried to rent the town’s Cultural Arts Center to a third party and pocket the more than $1,000 fee. Charles was reportedly arrested Friday morning and charged with felony fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal impersonation. Charles was released without bail. He is due in Spring Valley Justice Court for arraignment on January 21st.
