An East Ramapo school board member who was accused of renting out the Town of Ramapo’s Cultural Arts Center though he wasn’t a town employee has pleaded guilty. Bernard Charles, husband of Ramapo Town Deputy Supervisor Brendel Logan-Charles, reportedly pocketed $1,100, but as part of a plea deal with the D-A he’ll pay that back, resign from the East Ramapo school board and be on probation for two years. Charles was originally charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal impersonation.
