A new drug recovery center has opened on Smith Street in Nanuet thanks to some grant money from the state and federal governments. The Foundations Recovery Center is run by the Rockland Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependence. Support and services are available for free for people recovering from substance use disorders and their families. The center is getting around $87,000 in startup funding and $350,000 in annual operational funding through the federal State Opioid Response Grant. If you or someone you know needs help, call the state’s toll-free HOPEline at 1-877-8-HOPE-NY. That’s 1-877-846-7369.
