COVID-19 Postpones Rockland’s Police and Patrol Officer Exam

August 19, 2020 by helpdesk1

Rockland’s Police and Patrol Officer exam scheduled for September 26th has been postponed after a lack of guidance from the governor’s office. The county says they can’t comply with the current Executive Order regarding gatherings after getting around 3,000 applicants. A new date has not yet been set but it could be held sometime next year.

Alaska and Delaware have been added to New York’s travelers quarantine list. None was removed, and the list now has 35 states and territories on it.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve got three in the hospital being examined, another has been confirmed with coronavirus. The state says we’ve got 14,053 reported cases, 42 more than yesterday, and the Rockland Health Department confirms we’re still at 674 fatalities here in the county.
