Clarkstown yesterday dedicated a street in memory of fallen FDNY Captain Frank Portelle of Pearl River, who died earlier this year from a September 11th-related illness. A commemorative street sign was installed by the town highway department at Park Place in Nanuet. Captain Dan Sanbrano of the FDNY was a friend of Frank’s and said he is greatly missed…
Frank started his career as a firefighter in 1996 at Engine 228 in Brooklyn and eventually became Captain of Engine 50 in the Bronx. He died March 13th this year at the age of 51.
