There will be an increased presence of Clarkstown Police officers at Felix Festa Middle School this morning. The move is in response to a possible threat phoned into a crisis hotline Wednesday night. Police say a staff member of the “C wing” portion of Felix Festa got a phone call from an unknown adult suggesting there was a gunman inside the school. The caller claimed to be a student at the West Nyack middle school, though the name and other information given by the caller did not match the Clarkstown School District’s database, and the call was determined to be a hoax. The school and BOCES were put on lockdown, neither a gunman or weapons were found, and there were no injuries to students or staff. The Detective Bureau is investigating.
