The project began last September and runs about a half-mile from Central Avenue to Brightwood Avenue. It was originally supposed to go to the end of Middletown Road, but Kenny says cost overruns prohibited that, so the town decided to keep the improvements to the most dangerous portion of the roadway. It includes new traffic lights, sidewalks, curbs and improved drainage.
