A Central Nyack man has been accused of intentionally hitting another man with his car Thursday afternoon in Ramapo. It happened around 2:30 in the afternoon, and Ramapo Police say the man was walking in Hillcrest when he was struck, suffering serious injuries. Police say the driver, 48 year-old Edward Grigsby, stayed on-scene. The Ramapo Police Investigations Division and Crash Investigation Unit believe the operator intentionally struck the victim, and Grigsby was charged with 2nd Degree Attempted Murder. He was arraigned in Ramapo Court, bail set at $75,000. He was sent to the Rockland County Jail pending future court appearances.
