Republican congressman Mike Lawler of the Hudson Valley’s 17th district held his first long-awaited town hall of the year Sunday night in Clarkstown. About 100 protestors were gathered outside before the event started to let their opinions be heard. The event itself was occasionally interrupted, with at least one attendee having to be removed by police. Lawler urged people to be respectful of others so that they could get through as many questions as possible, though he frequently had to deal with groans and objections from many in the audience…
