Area Police Bike to Raise Money for Families of Officers Killed in Line of Duty

July 24, 2020 by helpdesk1

Area police officers will be taking to their bikes tomorrow for the Tour De Rockland to draw attention to another larger race happening in September, both for a worthy cause. The 2020 Tour de Force Memorial Bike Ride supports families of fallen police officers. Joe Augusto is a former NYPD officer and currently works in the Rockland Sheriff’s department, and says each participant will do their own virtual 75-mile race and, thanks to sponsors they get, money will help families of officers killed in the line of duty…

The Tour de Force Memorial Bike Ride began after the terror attacks in 2001. It gets underway September 12th. For more information visit their website www.TourDeForceNY.com.
