Area Lawmaker’s Bill to Rename Rockland-Tarrytown Bridge Gains Support

An area lawmaker thinks there is a good chance the bridge that spans the Hudson River between Nyack and Tarrytown could officially get the name its predecessor had. Rockland Assemblyman Mike Lawler says more of his colleagues are signing on to erase the name of the former governor’s father, former Governor Mario Cuomo, off the new bridge…

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo successfully pushed legislation to name the bridge after his father in June 2017. The bridge opened two months later bearing the name Mario M. Cuomo.
