Earlier this month the Legislature passed the $177 billion budget, though the New York Times says the state is expecting at least $10 billion less in tax revenue. Also unclear yet is the exact fate of the criminal justice reform package that became law January first. It has been reported that a few crimes have been crossed off the no-bail list and judges have been given more discretion, though new discovery rules apparently still remain.
