January 6, 2021 by helpdesk1

An area state lawmaker says he doesn’t have much confidence in the state’s slow pace at getting the vaccine to nursing homes. In a statement, Stony Point and Orange County Assemblyman Colin Schmitt said the current state-level distribution process has been “marred with missteps and ineffectiveness.” Governor Andrew Cuomo said the feds were in charge of the nursing home program, which he said the state is taking over to move it along faster, and he said the hospitals need to step it up as well…

The state has a new tool you can use to check if you are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and where you can get it.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost one more to COVID, the total count stands at 780. We’ve got two hospitalized being examined, another 91 there are confirmed cases, and a total of 2,481 active cases. Overall, we’ve had 28,568 reported cases, 233 more than Tuesday.
