Area Congresswoman Wants Comprehensive Immigration Reform in Wake of U.S. Supreme Court Decision Upholding DACA

The U-S Supreme Court yesterday rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to end DACA, a program that allows undocumented immigrants who arrived as children to live and work in this country without fear of deportation. Created in 2012, it allows nearly 700-thousand young people, known as “Dreamers,” to legally go to school, work and get drivers’ licenses. Rockland and Westchester Congresswoman Nita Lowey says it’s time for comprehensive immigration reform…

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion, which was joined by Justices Breyer, Ginsberg, Kagan and Sotomayor.
