AG Quits Race for Governor, as Gov Warns of Rising COVID Numbers

A little more than a month after entering the race for governor, the state’s Attorney General has bowed out and decided to run again for her current job. Letitia James says she has unfinished business as A.G. and has opted to try to stay there. Despite leading in the polls, Governor Kathy Hochul said she would continue to treat the race as if she’s the underdog…

Speaking of unfinished business, governor Hochul said she’s concerned COVID numbers are heading the wrong direction…

And that was Dr. Mary Bassett, New York’s Health Commissioner. The number of Rocklanders hospitalized with COVID-19 has risen since Monday from 20 to 25. The number of deaths and active cases has remained the same, both at 1,002.
