AARP Recommends Uninsured Who Can’t Get Medicare Check out Obamacare Before Year’s End

December 28, 2021 by Jeff Lewis

New Yorkers have until the end of the year to get health insurance coverage that begins January 1st on the health insurance marketplaces through the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. A-A-R-P New York is encouraging anyone who is uninsured, especially if you’re in your 50s and early 60s and not yet eligible for Medicare, to enroll in a plan now. A-A-R-P New York’s Erin Mitchell says many folks can qualify for low- or no-cost health insurance…

In 2019, the A-A-R-P says nearly half of Americans ages 50 to 64 spent nearly a third of their income on health-insurance premiums. For more information about the plans available in New York, call 855-355-5777 or visit NYstateofhealth.ny.gov.
