The Ramapo Planning Board voted 6-0 last month to grant O&R site plan approval and a special use permit, clearing way to begin construction on what is known as the “KCE Pomona” project. Donovan expects the $7.4 million project to create new jobs and economic opportunity in the region, and it supports New York State’s goal of installing 3,000 megawatts of energy storage throughout the state by 2030.
