The summer is known for lots of things, mostly good, but it also holds the distinction of being the time of year that sees the most DWI fatalities. That’s according to Rockland state senator David Carlucci, who’s drawing attention to the problem with a 5K memorial Fun Run tonight honoring Larisa Karassik, a Felix Festa Middle School student killed by a drunk driver in May four years ago…
The race/walk gets underway tonight at 6:30 at Rockland Lake State Park North parking lot. Funds raised will go to the Larisa Karassik Foundation. For more information visit https://larisastrong.org.
