The 15th annual Penguin Plunge to benefit two local kids with huge cancer bills kicks off Sunday in Nyack. Barbara Noyes is a co-founder of the event and says lots of brave folks with a cold Hudson River plunge on their bucket lists will take to the cold waters of the Hudson around 1:30…
Rockland Sheriff Lou Falco says he and his team will be there to keep things safe, but he won’t be hitting the water…
The event benefits two year-old Jhenaé Fairclough who has a rare form of childhood cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma, and six year-old Teagan Walsh who has been undergoing treatment for a high-risk neuroblastoma. The plunge runs noon to 2 on Sunday at Memorial Park in Nyack. Parking on Sunday is free in Nyack. For more information visit PenguinPlungeNY.com.
