Rockland Prepares as Heavy Rains Head Our Way

As the clean-up continues from the weekend’s heavy storms that rumbled through the region, Orange & Rockland Utilities is gearing up for another round of storms heading our way. Clarkstown supervisor George Hoehmann says the particularly hard-hit village of Upper Nyack is still working on getting things back to normal…

The weekend storms prompted Upper Nyack mayor Karen Tarapata to suspend the village’s noise ordinance law, allowing residents to use gas-powered leaf blowers to clean up debris until 8pm tonight, though that deadline could be extended if necessary.
