Rockland Congressman Files Legislation to Make IVF Services Easier to Afford

A Hudson Valley Congressman is looking to make access to fertility services easier for New York families. The “IVF Access and Affordability Act” will create a tax credit to help families pay for in-vitro fertilization services. At a press conference on Friday, Rockland Congressman Mike Lawler of the 17th district said his bill would provide $20,000 for individuals and $40,000 for couples filing jointly…

Nicole is a Putnam County resident who was able to get pregnant and give birth thanks to IVF. Nicole said the bill would help those families who have had frustrating experiences trying to start their families…

Separate legislation, the “Hope With Fertility Services Act,” would require private insurance companies to cover infertility treatments.
