A meeting scheduled last week to discuss the status of the embattled HiTor Animal Center in Pomona didn’t happen. That’s according to Howard Phillips, who heads up Rockland Green, the agency that is expected to run the new animal shelter after a facility is complete. Phillips told “The Morning Show” yesterday the meeting was supposed to address the current shelter’s direction in the wake of the board’s recent firing of executive director Rick Tannenbaum…
Phillips said he’s been informed that the shelter’s new executive director is former Pomona Village Trustee and Mayor, Brett Yagel. We reached out to Mr. Yagel and HiTor but have not heard back.
