A local state lawmaker has a new role in his party. Assemblyman Karl Brabenec of the 98th district, covering western Ramapo and parts of Orange County, has been made Chairman of the Assembly Minority Conference’s Committee on Standing Committees. In that role, Brabenec will oversee key legislative processes and contribute to the strategic direction of the Assembly Minority Conference. The Governor will present the State of the State on January 14th in Albany. Brabenec also hopes to hold more informal mobile office meetings in Rockland County in the western Ramapo area, probably around once a month.
