The man arrested by Clarkstown police Friday evening charged with a bank robbery in Nanuet has been accused of, and served jail time for, similar crimes in Rockland. Police arrested 46 year-old Jamie Bass and charged him with robbery and grand larceny, stemming from an incident Friday at the Capital One Bank on Route 59. Clarkstown supervisor George Hoehmann says Bass was released thanks to New York’s criminal justice reforms…
Bass is also accused of robbing the Chase Bank in Nanuet in February. He’s also served time over a decade ago for robbing an area bank and dry cleaners. If you witnessed Friday’s incident or have any information, contact the Clarkstown Police Department at 845-639-5800.
