A Rockland Grand Jury has indicted a Spring Valley man on charges of Attempted Murder, Assault, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Spring Valley Police say 32 year-old Joshua Jemison had been arrested for stabbing an unidentified 34 year-old man in the neck September 5th. The incident took place around 9:40 p.m. during a fight at the Alizeh Food Mart on North Main Street. Jemison was being held at the Rockland County Jail.
Rockland DA to Prosecute Westchester Campaign Forgery Case
The head of a Westchester Democratic Committee and his son have been indicted for campaign-related forgery. The case is being prosecuted by a special prosecutor, Rockland’s D-A Tom Walsh. 59 year-old William Serratore and his son, 24 year-old, Carmelo, are accused of forging signatures on three separate petitions for Tom Luzio’s Mayoral candidacy. William Serratore faces fifteen felony counts, while Carmelo was charged with four. Both were arraigned on Wednesday.
