Coronavirus has brought down Sunday’s 22nd annual Rockland County YouthFest and Government Day at RCC. The day was devoted to fun for kids and an expo of demonstrations and displays of everything county government does, including the Youth Bureau, Fire and Emergency Services, Social Services and more, but Sunday’s event is now cancelled. There are now 22 confirmed cases in New York, most of them in Westchester County, one in Nassau, and three in the city. Nationwide, more than 200 cases have been confirmed, with 12 deaths, 11 of them in the Seattle area. The Netherlands reported its first death, and Vatican City now has its first case. The Senate yesterday passed $8.3 billion in emergency funds to combat the spread of coronavirus that passed the House the day before.
