New City Man Sentenced for Fatal Shooting in Haverstraw

A New City man will be spending the next 18 years to life in prison after being sentenced for killing his boss over a year ago in Haverstraw. Rockland D-A Tom Walsh says 61 year-old Gerard O’Sullivan was sentenced Tuesday for the murder of 42 year-old Noah Hamer, the general manager of the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Haverstraw in February last year. O’Sullivan shot and killed Hamer just hours after getting fired.
