A Rockland County Jail inmate from Wesley Hills has been indicted for the attempted murder of a corrections officer earlier this month that was thwarted by another inmate. Rockland County D-A Tom Walsh says 32 year-old Israel Gourion faces charges of Second Degree Assault and Second Degree Strangulation as well. Both Falco and Walsh say the inmate’s actions likely saved the corrections officer’s life.
