Haverstraw Community Center Hosts a State Pop-up COVID Vaccination Site, Rockland Vaccinations Changed Due to Weather Delays

The Haverstraw Community Center is hosting a state pop-up vaccination site today, but all the appointments were just about snatched up as soon as they were announced. Haverstraw supervisor Howard Phillips is hopeful they can get another pop-up vaccination site from the state in the near future…

Meanwhile the state said yesterday the Federal government’s COVID-19 vaccine shipments for the last week through the 21st have been delayed due to the winter storms. Some doses have been held back, and a limited number of Pfizer vaccines left shipping facilities on Tuesday and Wednesday. As a result of the delay, the Rockland County Department of Health says the COVID-19 2nd dose vaccination clinics scheduled for Saturday 9 AM – 1 PM and Monday 9 AM – 6 PM have been rescheduled to Saturday, February 27th 9 AM – 1 PM and Monday, March 1st 9 AM – 6 PM.
