Rockland Loses Three More to COVID, County Health Department Gets 200 More Vaccine Doses

The Rockland County Department of Health got more COVID vaccine yesterday after running out on Friday, but chances are you won’t be getting any from the new shipment. They asked for 2,000 doses but only got 200, plus, eligible residents have already signed up to be vaccinated, so no additional appointments are yet available. Five, new state-run vaccination sites are now accepting appointments and opening beginning as early as today. They’re at the Javits Center, Westchester County Center, the State Fair Expo Center, Jones Beach and SUNY Albany. Additional vaccination sites will be announced in the next few days.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost three more to COVID, the total is 796. We’ve got 99 hospitalized confirmed with coronavirus, and 2,854 active cases. Our total case count is 30,273, that’s 258 more than Tuesday.
