Three States Added to NY Travel Advisory, Gov Promotes New Book

Three states have been added to New York’s COVID-19 travel advisory. Ohio, Michigan and Virginia are now on the list, none was removed, leaving the list with 36 states plus Guam and Puerto Rico.

New York’s governor has been on a national media tour since his new book, “AMERICAN CRISIS: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic,” hit bookshelves yesterday. Despite its title, Andrew Cuomo told “The Today Show” yesterday that the book isn’t proclaiming victory, but said it’s halftime of a game that isn’t over. He noted “we’ve had some success, but we also are making a lot of mistakes.” Host Willie Geist asked if it was a mistake to send COVID-positive patients back into nursing homes?” but Cuomo deflected on that and instead questioned the federal response.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve got 26 in the hospital confirmed with coronavirus, and a total of 1,421 active cases. The state says since the crisis began, we’ve had a total of 16,829 reported cases, 69 more than Friday, and the Rockland Health Department says we have 679 total fatalities, no change since Tuesday last week.
