Monsey Man Wanted for Threatening Ramapo Police Held in NJ Jail After Standoff

A Monsey man is being held in a New Jersey jail after he allegedly made terroristic threats against the Ramapo Police Department. DailyVoice.com says a SWAT team was called in after 60 year-old Edward Schwarz reportedly refused to leave a vacant beachfront club in Monmouth County Wednesday. A standoff ensued and lasted for several hours, but he reportedly gave up peacefully. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice, burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief.
