Rockland State Lawmaker Grills NY Health Commissioner over Delayed Nursing Homes Hospitals Report

The findings from a delayed study of staffing in state nursing homes and hospitals might have helped the state deal with the COVID-19 situation that pounded New York earlier this year. The report was supposed to be released more than seven months ago. While questioning state Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker on Wednesday during a state Health and Oversight Committees hearing, Rockland and Orange County state Senator James Skoufis said the report should see the light of day, today…

The report is slated to be released today.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve got three in the hospital being examined, another three have been confirmed with coronavirus. The state says we’ve got 13,973 reported cases, seven more than yesterday, and the number of fatalities here in the county remains unchanged at 674.
