More than 9,300 new coronavirus cases in Florida put that state ahead of New York over the weekend in total cases, including 78 deaths. Florida has around 424,000 coronavirus cases and nearly 6,000 deaths, among them, an otherwise healthy 9-year-old girl who died earlier this month, becoming the youngest coronavirus victim in Florida. New York added just 637 cases yesterday and recorded only three deaths state-wide, though we’ve got far and away the most deaths, just over 32,000.

The state says we’ve got 13,830 reported cases, 10 more than Friday, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 673 fatalities here in the county, unchanged since Thursday.
