Online Video Series Commemorating 100 Years of the Women’s Right to Vote Kicks off This Week

The first in a three-part online video series commemorating the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote in the United States hits the internet this week. Paulette Ross is the head of SuffrageForward, a women’s rights and advocacy group based in Nyack, and says the series features local and national celebrities celebrating the ratification of the 19th amendment, but that’s not all…

Rockland County legislator Harriet Cornell says the original plans featured a parade but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the celebration, for now, online exclusively…

The first video in “The Power of Persistence” video series, featuring journalist and social political activist Gloria Steinem, music, and art, launches on-line Thursday July 9th at 7pm. The next two videos in the series will be on August 6th and August 25th. For more information about the video series and the organization, visit www.SuffrageForward.org.
