COVID Cancels Some, but not all, Fireworks Events in Rockland

There will be fireworks this weekend in Pomona, but some towns have unfortunately had to cancel their Independence Day festivities, but not all of them. In Haverstraw, supervisor Howard Phillips says town residents can come to Bowline Point Park and watch their light show and concert on July second…

In Orangetown, Supervisor Teresa Kenny says the legendary July 4th fireworks show on Central Avenue in Pearl River is sadly another COVID-19 victim…

Kenny says the Rotary Club may host a fireworks show some other time over the summer if it can be pulled off. But if you need your fireworks fix and you can’t wait, you can go to Palisades Credit Union Park where the Boulders play in Pomona tomorrow night. Boulders’ V-P of Business Development Seth Cantor says they’ll have a big drive-in fireworks show and much more…

The concert begins Saturday night at 7:30 and the fireworks begin at 9pm. Admission is $25 per car. Reservations are required. To secure your spot go to www.NYBoulders.com and click on the Fireworks icon. As part of the reservation process you’ll need to supply the make, model and license plate number of your car.
