Rockland to Enter Phase 2 of Re-opening Tuesday

Rockland and the mid-Hudson region are expected to enter phase two tomorrow. That means restrictions are loosened for non-essential businesses including professional services such as real estate, hair salons, car dealerships and other retail, which will be able to open up as long as they follow the proper social distancing guidelines as outlined by the state. Rockland County executive Ed Day says businesses need to have a safety plan to re-open. Day says the paperwork’s available at forward.ny.gov…

Not included in phase two are malls; dine-in restaurant or bar service; large gathering and event venues; gyms and fitness centers; casinos or movie theaters. Palisades Center says they’ve put in extensive safety protocols over the past two months that meet or exceed state, CDC and national health guidelines and is urging the governor to allow malls and their retailers the chance to re-open.
