NY Launches Online COVID-19 Testing Site Locator; Rockland Deaths Surpass 600 Mark

The state has launched a new website for New Yorkers to easily find the nearest COVID-19 testing sites. In his daily coronavirus press briefing yesterday, New York governor Andrew Cuomo said the state’s diagnostic testing criteria now includes anyone who would return to the workplace in phase one of the state’s reopening plan…

New York State has doubled its testing capacity to 40,000 tests daily. The announcement came three weeks after an agreement was made with the federal government to increase testing capacity per day from 20,000.

COVID-19 by the numbers, the state now has confirmed around 350,000 total cases of coronavirus across the state and 22,600 deaths. In Rockland, the state says we’ve got over 12,600 reported cases, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 602 deaths here in the county.
