Ramapo Police and Highway Department Members Rescue Baby Ducks from Chestnut Ridge Storm Drain

A family of ducks is thankful this morning to the Ramapo Police and Highway departments. Somehow, a storm drain on Haller Crescent in Chestnut Ridge swallowed up nine ducklings. Concerned residents of the area called the authorities, and Dog Control officer Cathy McGrath and members of the Ramapo Highway Department were able to get the ducklings out safely, reuniting them with their mother and three siblings. 🦆🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥These kind residents in Chestnut Ridge contacted RPD to report that a few ducklings were trapped in the storm drain. With the help of RPD’s Dog Control Officer Cathy McGrath and Town of Ramapo Highway Department workers, the Officers were able to reunite the 9 ducklings with their mother and 3 siblings.
