Indian Point Two Begins Permanent Shutdown Today

Today marks the last day of operation for Indian Point’s nuclear reactor unit two. The Buchanan plant, located just across the Hudson River in Westchester, is shutting down thanks to an agreement between plant operator Entergy, the state of New York, and concerned environmental groups.
