Hasidic Man Becomes First to Join Board of Trustees in Chestnut Ridge

The Chestnut Ridge board of trustees has its first Hasidic Jewish representative on the board. That’s according to the Journal News, which says 39 year-old Chaim Rose was appointed late last month by Mayor Rosario Presti to replace Howard Cohen, who recently moved to Florida. The four-year seat is up for re-election next March.
