WRCR Callers Reflect on Passing of Ramapo’s Phil Tisi

It was a shocking way to greet the day yesterday, the news that long-time Ramapo director of communications, Phil Tisi, had passed away due to complications from coronavirus. From the Boulders to the Lafayette Theater to the Challenger Center, callers to “The Morning Show” recalled how Phil championed many projects that made the town unique…

Commenters on Facebook, where Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht made the announcement early yesterday morning of Tisi’s passing, suggested naming the Challenger Center or something at town hall, the ballpark or one of the town parks after him. There’s a nice tribute to him on the village of Sloatsburg’s website, check it out if you can. Phil was 72.
